St. Peter R.C. School

St. Peter R.C. School is proud to offer outstanding Christ-centered, competitive and nurturing academic programming for children in PreKindergarten 3 through Grade 8. All students receive a well-rounded program including the Core subjects of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science as well as Religion, Spanish, Music, Art, Library, Technology and Physical Education. The parochial school of St. Peter Parish in Lewiston, NY, was established in September of 1953 with the opening of a Kindergarten and First Grade in Hennepin Hall, named after Father Louis Hennepin, the first white man to see the Niagara and the first priest to say Mass in this area (as seen in the stained glass in the church). After construction, in November 1958, the new school was ready to receive 277 students in grades 1-6. At this time the school name was changed from Hennepin Hall to St. Peter School.
