Stanford Sociology

Established in 1957, Stanford Sociology is home to some of the nations leading scholars and teachers on inequality. Our facultys expertise spans several fields within this broad topic, including demography, economic sociology, gender and sex, race/ethnicity, social networks, and social psychology, to name a few. We are committed to using a diverse set of methodologies--such as computational analysis, ethnography, in-depth interviewing, statistics, and archival work--to study the social world.
