Stanislaus National Forest

The Stanislaus National Forest is a U.S. National Forest managing 898,099 acres (1,403.3 sq mi; 3,634.5 km2) of land in four counties (Calaveras, Mariposa, Alpine and Tuolumne Counties) in the Sierra Nevadas in Northern California. We were established on February 22, 1897, making us one of the oldest national forests. Were named after the Stanislaus River.
