Star Academy is a private, non-profit school that is recognized throughout the Bay Area as a leader in education for students with learning differences in grades 1-12. Star Academy prepares and inspires students with learning differences to achieve their full potential. We individually-tailor our academic program to give every student the chance to experience daily success, build skills and self-confidence, and develop meaningful relationships. What makes Star Academy unique? At Star, our goal is to prepare students for transition. Transition to less restrictive schools, to college or to the workplace. On average, students attend Star Academy for three years. Star Academy is the place where they get back on their feet, gaining the self-knowledge, aptitudes and self-assurance they need to succeed in their next pursuit, whatever it may be.
