Statutarni mesto Kladno

Kladno je nejvetsi mesto Stredoceskeho kraje a trinacte nejvetsi mesto Ceske republiky. Lezi 25 km severozapadne od Prahy. Temer sedmdesat tisic obyvatel zije na plose cca 37 km2. Prvni pisemna zminka o Kladne pochazi z pocatku 14. stoleti. Puvodne zemedelske mestecko se v 19. stoleti zmenilo na prumyslovou oblast v minulosti spojenou predevsim s tezbou cerneho uhli a hutnictvim. Dnes Kladno symbolizuje mimo jine hokej vlastni tym i vychova novych hracu. Primatorem mesta je Mgr. Milan Volf. Kladno is the largest city of the Central Bohemian Region, together with its adjacent suburban areas forming an agglomeration of almost 70 000 inhabitants, situated in the close vicinity of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
