Steel City Academy prepares our students with the knowledge, purpose, power and transformative experiences to choose from boundless opportunities through college and career pathways while strengthening the community of Gary. In redefining school, Steel City seeks to dismantle the false binary of being a school that provides rigorous academics OR transformative, life changing experiences outside of the classroom. We have a track record of providing both! We are currently the ONLY A letter grade school in the city of Gary w based on our academic results, while also outperforming 95% of other students across the nation academically as measured by NWEA.
