STEM Obour Model United Nations

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically role play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN councils. The delegates represent different countries and attempt to solve real world issues using the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. At the end of the year, we hold a conference to allow our delegates the chance and experience to implement what theyve learned throughout the year. At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each council are recognized and given an award certificate; the Best Delegate in each council, however, receives a gavel. Many college students participate in Model United Nations, which involves substantial researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
