Stepney Bank Stables

As well as being a riding school providing high quality riding instruction on well-mannered, well-schooled horses, Stepney Bank Stables is a children and young peoples Project (Charity no. 1084687) which has been a vital element of the Byker community for over 20 years. We support young people enabling them to develop important life skills including confidence, self-esteem, resilience, listening, cooperation and teamwork. Income from the riding school is fundamental in sustaining the Project. For many of our attendees developing these skills has been their first step in the journey to becoming the very best they could be. We have provided training and employment for local people, many of whom were initially members of our volunteer project. All of our staff are trained to use the Happy BrainTM model of learning for developing a childs emotional resilience and mental wellbeing using play and creativity to help them grow.
