Stevens Student Managed Investment Fund

The Stevens Student Managed Investment Fund (SSMIF) is a student managed, long-equity investment fund, managing a portion of the Stevens endowment. The SSMIF is a two semester course and is run by the student senior management with the help of our fund instructor and advisor, Professor Jonathan Kaufman and fund advisor, Professor George Calhoun. The SSMIF actively utilizes both a macroeconomic and quantitative strategy with the assistance of faculty advisors and the School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technologys advisory board. The SSMIFin conjunction with the Quantitative Finance programwas featured in a Forbes article: Turnaround University: Quant School on the Hudson. In 2018, the SSMIF went on CNBC to compete with stars like Kevin OLeary in an investment challenge - The CNBC 2018 Stock Draft. Stevens finished 3rd in the competition out of 8 teams.
