We are the Stony Brook University IEEE Student Branch (IEEE at SBU), a professional organization focused on helping students prepare for their careers in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and related fields like computer science. We work to further the practice of engineering and help to promote and inspire our members to advance themselves outside of the classroom through professional, academic, technical, and social events. We also have a laboratory that provides students a space to study, relax, meet other IEEE at SBU members, and use computers and electrical equipment
