Op 1 mei 1957 werd Strago Electro BV. opgericht en vestigde zich in de Kerksteeg te Gorinchem. De activiteiten waren toen reparaties van startmotoren en dynamos, het wikkelen van elektromotoren en reparaties van accus. Uiteraard ook verkoop van deze componenten. Het bedrijf breidde zich gestaag uit en dus werd in 1963 verhuisd naar de Schelluinsestraat. De activiteiten werden uitgebreid met reparaties van diesel brandstofpompen en in 1966 werd de eerste sportveldverlichting geplaatst bij Unitas in Gorinchem.
