Student/Partner Alliance

Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA) is a New Jersey non-profit organization, which provides economically disadvantaged, but motivated youth from NJs urban areas with private high school tuition assistance and mentoring support to help them to earn their high school diplomas and pursue college opportunities. During the 2023-2024 school year, we are supporting 180 students at five high schools in the greater Newark and Jersey City areas. Student/Partner Alliance was founded in 1993 and since then has offered 2050 scholarships to students. 90% of S/PA students come from homes with family incomes of less than $35,000 and many come from single-parent homes. 99% of S/PA students graduate from their high school and continue to college. S/PA students are matched with a mentor who offers guidance and encouragement throughout the students four years in high school.
