STUDIO AKKERHUIS | ARCHITECTS

In October 2014 Studio Akkerhuis was founded in Paris. The practice works internationally on projects in the fields of interior design, architecture and urbanism. Realized and ongoing projects of the studio include the transformation of the 55.000 m2 Meelfabriek complex (demeelfabriek.nl), a contemporary art gallery, a boutique hotel and a masterplan for 750 housing units. Furthermore Studio Akkerhuis collaborates with Renzo Piano Building Workshop on the new Law Courts of Paris, currently under construction. Bart Akkerhuis is an Architect and former associate of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop. He studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands from which he graduated with an honorable mention in 2004. For over 10 years he worked for the Renzo Piano.
