Studio C&C

The C&C studio was founded in Turin by Paolo Albertelli and Mariagrazia Abbaldo. Both graduates in architecture at the Politecnico of Turin, are trained in architectural studies, restoration and sculpture. They began to collaborate in 1997: immediately the compositional research is carried out both in the field of architecture and sculpture. The architectural works receive two important awards: the Architecture revealed award in 2002 for the expansion in steel and glass of their residence in Turin; the prize as the runner-up of the competition for Villa della Regina in Turin in 2010. These are works characterized by an unusual use of materials and original formal compositions; with the attempt to create sculptural architectures that mitigate the feeling of having to live inside often standardized containers.
