Open spaces are under increasing pressure from many sides. Studio Vulkan seeks to understand these multiple demands and the contradictions that arise from different expectations. Designing landscapes means accepting and moderating these contradictions and using the resulting tension to develop new solutions. We create strategic and experimental design languages that innovatively and clearly interpret the site and its users. We aim to produce designs that are conceptually strong and pragmatic, exploring the potential of a landscape in a direct, dynamic and playful way.
