SURA - Southeastern Universities Research Association

SURAs mission is to advance collaborative research and education and to strengthen the scientific capabilities of its members and our nation. SURA is a consortium of over 57 research institutions, established in 1980 to design, build and operate what is now Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory. We now operate the lab through Jefferson Science Associates (JSA) a wholly owned subsidiary of SURA.
