The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our worlds ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 80+ chapters worldwide. The San Diego County Chapter is one of the largest & most active chapters in the world. Our permanent staff includes a Chapter Manager, a Policy Coordinator, and a Beach Cleanup Coordinator.
