The roots of Surgical Consultants go back to Edina in the 1950s when two surgeons came together to form a practice dedicated to providing compassionate, state-of-the-art surgical care. On September 1, 1969, the growing practice incorporated as Surgical Consultants, P.A., a physician-owned and directed association. Two practice divisions serve patients at offices in Edina and Burnsville, and perform surgeries at Fairview Southdale Hospital and Fairview Ridges Hospital. As one of the leading surgical practices in the Twin Cities region, Surgical Consultants contracts with all major payers and most care systems in the area. We always strive to make our services both accessible and affordable. On October 1, 2008, Surgical Consultants and Fairview joined together as one organization, expanding Fairviews surgical service options and benefiting patients in many ways.
