Suyam Charitable Trust

Suyam Charitable Trust was established in Aug, 1999. The Siragu Montessori School and the BharathaMatha School, run by the Trust, in Chennai, educate the children of Nomadic tribes, begging communities, street children, bonded labourers, single parent and disadvantaged communities. They are all first-generation learners. Considering the poor background and also to encourage their learning, the entire education is given free, including transportation, books, stationery, uniform, food, accommodation etc. Suyam is especially concerned about preventing social problems relating to child labour, begging, school drop outs, early marriage, teenagers, families, by stressing child centred education to facilitate holistic development of the child....
