Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (SIBET), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the only national institute for research and development of biomedical instruments in CAS. SIBET was co-founded by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu provincial government and Suzhou municipal government. On August 1st, 2008, CAS commissioned Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) to manage the operation of SIBET.
