Svalorna Latinamerika

Who are we? Svalorna Latinamerika, as an organization, is convinced that people themselves know what they need most, and that their own local associations are their best tools for change. The five-year programs we work with are, therefore, developed in close cooperation with local communities that aspire to bring a positive change to our target groups, i.e. children, adolescents and women in Bolivia, Nicaragua and Peru. Through these programs, we aim to promote human rights, sexual and reproductive rights, participatory democracy, economic rights, and education. In Sweden, we work together with other organizations to disseminate information about our target groups situation and the possibilities for bringing improvements to their livelihoods. We also strive to influence policy- and decision-makers on issues that affect our beneficiaries in Latin America.
