Syrian Commission on Financial Markets & Securities

The SCFMS seeks to make happen a developed securities sector based on international standards and requirements. It works on establishing a just and transparent investment environment, and raising investor awareness in Syria, in order to create further opportunities for reform and development. Aiming at the ultimate public interest, the Commission seeks: * To strengthen the efficiency of the securities sector to encourage the public to transfer their nest eggs into investments; * To raise the competency of the workers in the securities field and enhance their commitment to professional ethics and code of conduct; * To reinforce sound and fair trading rules among all investors in order to enlighten them and enhance their trust; * To cooperate with Arab and International authorities to exchange support and assistance; * To develop and update legislation and operating systems to cope with global progress and benefit from it
