TARA Child Protection & Empowerment India

We protect and educate more than 160 children in New Delhi, India. We run 6 programs: - TARA Tots, for 20 girls and boys under age 10, created in 2012, - TARA Girls, for 20 girls aged 6 to 18, - TARA Boys, for 20 boys aged 6 to 18, created in 2008, - TARA Big Birds, an aftercare program for former TARAs homes beneficiaries - TARA Outreach Centre, a day care centre for children at risk and their families. -TARA Training Centre since 2017 Our TARA home programs host 20 children per home maximum as we believe that a smaller family-like environment best enables children to overcome past difficulties and achieve their potential. The projects are managed by a qualified and experienced child psychologist, as well as qualified social workers and administrators.
