Tashkent State Agrarian University

Tashkent State Agrarian University received the status of an agricultural university on April 11, 1991. From 1934 to 1991 it was called the Tashkent Agricultural Institute. This institute was formed in 1931 by the merger of the Central Asian Cotton Institute, separated from the Central Asian Cotton Irrigation and Polytechnic Institute, and the Central Asian Silk Institute, separated from the Central Asian Agricultural Institute. Tashkent State Agrarian University has 7 faculties: agronomy, breeding, seed production, and plant protection, horticulture and viticulture, forestry and medicinal plants, livestock and silk, geoengineering, and management in agriculture
