Tectonic Theater Project

Based in New York City and guided by founder and artistic director Moises Kaufman since 1991, Tectonic Theater Project develops new plays using the companys trademarked theater-making method, Moment WorkTM, a wholly unique methodology that has resulted in some of the most theatrically thrilling and culturally important American theater of the last two decades. In 2001, the company garnered worldwide acclaim for The Laramie Project, a theatrical exploration of the events surrounding the 1998 killing of college student Matthew Shepard that is among the most frequently produced plays in the United States. HBOs film adaptation of the play, co-written and directed by Mr. Kaufman, earned four Emmy Award-nominations in 2002.
