Ten Sixteen Recovery Network has a proud history of providing services to people impacted by substance use disorders. A private, non-profit agency, Ten Sixteen started in Midland in 1979. The inspiration for the name came from the sheriff. At the time, law enforcement used ten codes over the radio. A 10-16 meant there was an open door at the scene. This new program had that same number as their street address. Now, as then, whatever the need, Ten Sixteen has an open door to anyone who has been touched by drugs or alcohol
