Terrewode Womens Fund

The Terrewode Womens Fund is a United States 501.c.3 nonprofit. We support the TERREWODE Womens Community Hospital, a dedicated womens hospital in Uganda. This new hospital is transforming health care in the region, providing improved maternal and health services for women and children, particularly women suffer from obstetric fistula, a childbirth injury. While working in the field of global womens issues, our founders in the Pacific Northwest began dreaming about supporting women who are among the worlds poorest and most isolated, women suffering from obstetric fistulas. We observed the lack of quality care, opportunity for surgical repair, or the support needed before and after surgery. We quickly realized the need for people to be aware of trustworthy organizations that offer effective care and guidance without undue cost.
