Like most parents, Mike and Laura Fossen began working with students through their own children. After trying education through a private school, they developed a desire to have a greater input on their childrens education. Their homeschooling adventure began six years ago. Laura not only teaches many of their childrens subjects, but she also has taught a class each year in the homeschool co-op. This year she is teaching government and economics to high school students. Mike and Laura believe impacting students is not limited to a classroom setting and they want to be a good example for more students. They have worked with students by coaching basketball and football teams, volunteering in sports organizations, and Mike officiating football and basketball games.
