Indian Association for the Blind (IAB- www.theiab.org) is a 36-year-old NGO working in Tamil Nadu for the welfare of visually challenged kids, youth and old age. To date, it has educated, rehabilitated and supported more than 30000+ visually challenged mainly from rural areas. In recognition of its exemplary work in the field of disability, IAB was conferred thrice with the National Award for the Best Institution by the Government of India (2001, 2007 and 2013).
