The 5812 Group is a Chicago based investment management company providing real-estate investment opportunities that are mutually beneficial to investors and the communities in which we work. Affordable housing is broken. The current system providing housing to low-income individuals isnt working. It is exemplified by housing developments that cost $11.5 million yet only provide 30 units of housing. It is wonderful that 30 families now have housing they can afford, but it is not a sustainable solution for the tens of thousands of families currently in need of affordable housing. We have created a model to address the need for affordable housing while providing financial returns our investors. By utilizing investment capital, we are able to provide quality housing in low-income communities at a scale no non-profit could match.
