THE ALAN

We are at the cusp of creating a new boutique offering in the heart of Manchester. A space to eat, drink, work, learn, play and sleep. A venue that maintains the spirit of its location, taking elements of the grit, the rawness and the energy and transforming it into a brand for the relentlessly real. In that same spirit we have stripped back and curated a space made from real materials. Locally sourced, where possible, organic and tactile. Materials that aim to be sustainable. Broken bits of marble patched together to create a dramatic 300 sqm ground floor arena, terrazzo shelves made from disregarded hotel detritus, ceramic shelves made by a local ceramicist... These are spaces guests want to live and breathe, bedrooms where they can, and want to, stay for months at a time, spaces where they feel Mancunian themselves. The heart of The Alan will be the ground floor and the soul will be the underground basement venue. These dynamic spaces will be the new place to be in Manches...
