The Albion Knitting Co. is a sister company of the Alpha Tops Group which is an international textile trading company with its head office in Geneva, Switzerland. The Alpha Tops Group is the number one exporter of cashmere, alpaca and mohair to Europe, cashmere coming through the Alphatex company and alpaca and mohair through our associate companies Incalpaca in Peru and Cape Mohair Spinners in South Africa. Alphatex is also well known in Europe as being one of the best knitters in northern China catering to the needs of global luxury brands such as Chloe, Givenchy, J.Lindeberg, and Studio Nicholson among others. The Albion Knitting Co. is the latest addition to our group and was established in north London in April 2014. Albion was envisioned to be the first industrial scale fully fashioned flat knitter established in London in the last eighty years and targets luxury brands based in London who appreciate having both sampling and production on their doorstep.
