The Ark Church

The Ark Church was founded June 2, 1996 by three couples who had developed strong friendships while attending Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. These couples also shared a dream of having a church in Montgomery County where everyone was welcome and had a chance to connect with God in a real and meaningful way. The atmosphere of The Ark is warm, genuine, and relaxed. The diversity of people represents a true picture of Montgomery County and there is a collective sense of the reality of God and His love. At The Ark, children and youth are a key focus, the senior adults are celebrated, and people from all walks and backgrounds are treated to a message of hope, love, and the goodness of God. Each week hundreds of people volunteer their time to be involved in the various ministries and outreaches.
