The Centre (TC)

We as students are made to believe that we are advantaged and privileged to be in institutions of higher learning. But in our view South African universities and Africa in general are producing robust and mechanical graduates who are exceptionally well in one discipline, and as a matter of consequence they play little or no role to better the society because of their one dimensional world outlook. These pseudo elites perpetuate the extent of poverty, inequality and other ills in our societies because are not conscious of the struggle ahead. Currently this seems to be the status quo in all African universities. We therefore as University students have recognized the need to Conscioutise ourselves with knowledge and skills that are not provided in the mainstream curriculum, so that we can be well rounded individuals who have critical understanding of the society in which we acquired maturity and as a result become catalytic agents of change that Africa needs.
