The Glover family has, for three generations now, been associated with the law in Mauritius. Harold Glover, the grandfather of Gavin Glover, was a Judge of the Supreme Court before being Electoral Commissioner for two decades, his son Sir Victor Glover was also appointed a Judge and became Chief Justice in 1976. Gavin Glover was a sole practitioner from 1985 until 2007 when two of his former pupils joined him. Soon after the Chambers at Chancery House became too small for the growing practice.
