The Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County

Our organization works with children and families who have suffered severe physical or sexual abuse, and/or witness to trauma. We work with law enforcement officials and Child Protective Services to reduce the trauma to children during the investigation and intervention process. We provide forensic interviews and forensic medical examinations in a safe and child-friendly environment and follow up with crisis counseling and outpatient services as needed. Our staff strives to instill hope in the families we serve and help them to heal from the traumatic effects of abuse
