The Costello School

Our school was founded in 1908 on a large and safe site of approximately 17 acres. Originally it was the Basingstoke High School for Girls one of the countys oldest and best-known grammar schools. In the 1970s the school became a mixed comprehensive and in 2002 a specialist Technology College. We take pride in our long, distinguished reputation and retain our strong traditional values. The school is now a high-performing Academy giving us autonomy and flexibility to ensure students at Costello have the best educational provision. Technology plays an increasingly important part in our lives; it is still an important feature across the school and whole curriculum and our use of ICT to support learning is nationally recognised.
