The Discovery Center of Springfield

Founded in 1991, we are the only community funded, nonprofit science center in all of Southern Missouri. We are a worldwide, award-winning organization serving 3 countries, over 30 US states, and over 30 Missouri counties. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and a life-long love of learning through memorable and engaging hands-on experiences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We are an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, that relies on admissions, memberships, program fees, and donations to continue our educational mission, programs and exhibits.
