The Feathers Association

The Feathers Association provides opportunities for children, young people and communities, to develop in a positive way through informal education, sporting, cultural and recreation activities. We make a difference by providing young people and communities with the opportunity to take part in activities and development programmes that would not normally be open to them via school or home life. Established in 1934 by Mrs Freda Dudley Ward at the behest of the Prince of Wales, the Charity originally provided support for the unemployed. After the Second World War there was a greater social need for youth clubs and the Charity altered its focus accordingly. The Charity, has built up a substantial reputation for supporting centre-based youth work and has a youth and community centre based in the City of Westminster which provides differing young people programmes Monday to Friday, throughout the day and evening.
