The production site in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, has a long history of filament production. The site has been designed by Hoechst in 1963 only to finish the build three years later in 1966. At its prime in 1971, the nearly 100,000 square meter site housed 2200 employees. This number has come down due to automation of the different processes.
