The Harbor

What began in 1976 as group of women in Clatsop County wanting to help domestic violence survivors has evolved into thriving non-profit, providing advocacy, prevention and support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. At The Harbor, were committed to meeting survivors where theyre at. We believe that there is no one right way to deal with trauma. We work from a trauma-informed empowerment model, which means we believe that every person has the capacity to make the best decisions for their own situationwhether thats staying or leaving an unhealthy relationship, making a report to law enforcement or not reporting, and other decisions that are unique to each persons situation. We are here to provide information so survivors can make their own informed decisions about what they need and want for themselves.
