The Huracan Foundation | Football for Development

Our story began with a Sunday league team from England called Huracan FC London, named after a team from Argentina, Club Atletico Huracan. In 2010, the fans of the real Huracan started to follow us on Facebook and an amazing story began. A story of shared passion. When we visited Argentina in 2011, we knew our story had the potential to get even better. We returned home, and with over 5,000 Facebook likes, we decided to set some global goals. Today, the Huracan Foundation has a simple but unique vision. Firstly, we give financial support to a selection of grassroots charities and initiatives (run by teachers from the Teach For All network) that use football to inspire children and improve education. Secondly, we are creating a collaborative international network between these organizations. Were currently supporting projects in Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Nepal and the Philippines.
