Thats the title of my most recent book. Im an author, and in 2008 I was a travel writer for Forbes Traveler, going around the world, staying and writing in the finest hotels, living like a billionaire, and getting paid to do it. But the intensity of the poverty I often saw got to me, and I decided to use my travel-writing nest egg for something good. This led me to the lending charity Kiva.org, which supports investment in small businesses in more than 60 countries worldwide. Soon, I made hundreds of loans through the site, then decided to travel around the world again, this time visiting some of the poorest nations on earth, meeting mom-and-pop clients in Nepal, Kenya, Peru, Cambodia, and nearly a dozen other countries.
