The Literary Society, Hansraj College

The Literary Society at Hansraj College has been established with its primary objective being emphasizing the importance of books and the knowledge they impart. It draws inspiration from the Pradhan Mantri YUVA Yojana which has been launched by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi. The main objective is to promote the cultural heritage of literature. The full name of this scheme is- Pradhan Mantri YUVA Yojana. The full meaning of YUVA in this scheme is Young, Upcoming, Versatile, Authors. Giving effect to the above scheme, National Book Trust has collaborated with Hansraj college to enhance reading and writing skills in the students. And hence here we are encouraging young writers to read and write! We aim at providing a platform to potential writers and authors to get their writings and books published by the National Book Trust. We also aim at building a community of readers and encouraging young students to develop a passion for reading in this virtual era
