Vision To develop leaders of tomorrow who will create meaningful impact in Ladakh and the Himalayan region. Mission To offer a high impact, post-graduate, academic programme that provides quality education to students from Ladakh and the Himalayan region, while focusing on region-specific areas of interests in eco-tourism, cultural and heritage preservation, entrepreneurship, sustainable development and education, and empower them to contribute to the development of the Himalayan region. Given the unique geographical and developmental factors, Ladakh and the Himalayan region has witnessed major societal and cultural changes over the past few decades. While the scale and quality of education has remained low, agricultural activities which were a primary source of livelihood, have also taken a back seat, resulting in a regional brain drain.
