The Oaks School

The Oaks School is an intimate learning center in the heart of historic Hollywood. Since its founding in 1986, The Oaks continues to be a vibrant, creative community where mutual respect and compassion for one another go hand-in-hand with stimulating intellectual pursuits. Our philosophy is founded on the belief that we create the best learning opportunities when children are able to share in the responsibility for their own education, and where they feel both physically and emotionally safe to take risks, make mistakes and master skills. Learning at The Oaks combines a strong academic curriculum designed for deep investigation with a richly integrated program of fine arts, physical education, technology, library arts and social/personal development.
