The Perk Lab

The Perk Lab is a cutting-edge Laboratory for Percutaneous Surgery. Our lab is dedicated to advancing the field of medical interventions involving the placement of surgical instruments, including needle-based aspirations, injections, ablation therapies, and more. Our multidisciplinary environment fosters collaboration across computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and clinical sciences. Students and postdocs at The Perk Lab gain expertise in medical image analysis, machine learning, surgical robots, and clinical ergonomics, among other essential skills. We emphasize translating these technologies into clinical trials, exposing our students to the world of medical imaging and clinical sciences.
