The Ponds School

The Ponds School was established in 2012 on a temporary site in Riverstone. The school supports students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities. Many of our students have additional disabilities, including autism, physical or sensory disabilities and/or emotional disturbance. Since opening in 2012 with 4 Kindergarten classes, the school has grown to 19 classes with students from Kindergarten to Year 12. 2015 saw the school move from its temporary site to our brand new purpose built facility in the suburb of The Ponds. Our new school provides the basis for the very best learning opportunities for all of our students with the inclusion of state of the art technology, a hydrotherapy pool and specialised playground equipment. Students at The Ponds School are exposed to the same syllabus and curriculum content as all students in NSW.
