The Saint Student Newspaper LTD

The Saint is an award-winning newspaper written and run by students at the University of St Andrews. We are the only news publication in St Andrews to go to print, with a fortnightly run of 1,200 copies. We operate as an independent company, The Saint Student Newspaper Ltd., which owns both The Saint and its digital counterpart, The Saint Online, and generates its own revenue in order to fund printing through advertising. This allows us to maintain complete financial and editorial independence from the Students Association and the University as a whole, and we are proudly one of only a handful of student newspapers in the country to be in this position. The Saint is only the latest rendition of in-print student journalism in St Andrews, which can, in some form or other, be traced back to 1962. Printing and distributing every Wednesday at the Students Union, Aien (taken from the Universitys motto when it was still written in Greek, aien aristeuein) enjoyed a twenty-two-year run. ...
