The Student Life Newspaper

The Student Life is the oldest college newspaper in Southern California. It serves as the newspaper of record for the Claremont Colleges, a consortium of seven highly selective liberal arts colleges and graduate schools in Claremont, California, with a combined student body of around 7700. TSL is published weekly on Fridays during the academic year in print and online. Each issue contains coverage in four sections: News, Life and Style, Opinions, and Sports. TSL is entirely student written and managed, and employs a staff of approximately 120 students per semester, including writers, columnists, photographers, videographers, designers, copy specialists, business associates, and editors. It is funded primarily by the student governments of the colleges. TSL holds itself to the highest possible journalistic standards, providing an opportunity for 7C students to gain practical experience as journalists within a traditional newspaper structure.
